TUPELO – Tupelo Water & Light is going to receive major renovations, with plans to completely modernize the aging building on Front Street.

Shawn Rushing, a lineman with Tupelo Water & Light, wires up new traffic lights at the intersection of President Street and Green Street on Monday morning in Tupelo.

Earlier this month, the Tupelo City Council voted unanimously among present members to approve a nearly $1.2 million contract with M&N Construction to renovate both the interior and exterior of the TW&L office located on 320 North Front Street.
