MUW will not host Scott Colom rally featuring Kamala Harris

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) — Mississippi University for Women (MUW) will not host this week’s rally for Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Scott Colom, featuring former Vice President Kamala Harris.

The university released the following statement:

According to Colom’s campaign manager, the campaign is looking for a new location because the rally is still happening. They will make an announcement later on Wednesday.

The rally is scheduled for Thursday, with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and the event running from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Attendees must register through the campaign’s sign-up page.

Colom is trying to unseat incumbent Republican Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith. They also face Independent Ty Pinkins in the Nov. 3 general election.
