A new water tower is nearing competition in Itawamba County's Carolina community. Growth in the area spurred the need for the new tower, which will have a capacity of 100,000 gallons.

TUPELO – The Carolina community in Itawamba County may be small, but it’s growing.

Recently, the Cason Water District obtained funding to build a new water tower in the unincorporated community, located in the southwest corner of Itawamba County. While the work isn't complete as of late last week, progress is evident, with the tower already standing.
