- And the recovery of a juvenile runaway
An operation took place on Oct. 15 in Tupelo and another one the day prior in Southaven.
The Tupelo operation was a joint operation with District Attorney Jason Herring’s office.
“The fight against fentanyl is a daily battle, but one worth fighting because lives are at stake. I am grateful for the work of the Mississippi Attorney General’s Fentanyl Strike Force and the strong collaboration among our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners. It takes all of us working together to rid our communities of this poison, and we remain committed to doing just that.”
Fitch said in the same announcement that the Strike Force conducted training for 40 law enforcement officers on Oct. 13.
“We will not tolerate predators peddling death in our communities. My office is committed to building a network of law enforcement across the state with the tools and knowledge to disrupt drug operations and make successful prosecutions of these criminals. Thank you to our partners in North Mississippi who worked with us during this operation. Together, we can get these dangerous drugs off of our streets and out of our communities.”
