TUPELO – While the Chickasaw Inkana Foundation and its contractors continue the effort to finish the first phase of the new Chickasaw Heritage Center for its upcoming opening, city officials are upholding their end of the bargain by building an access road to the museum.

The Tupelo City Council voted unanimously among present members to approve a nearly $434,943 contract with James A. Hodges Construction, Inc. to build the new access road to the center.
