Holiday prank or crime? Baldwyn warns against yard rolling

BALDWYN, Miss. (WTVA) — A little holiday fun can quickly turn into a criminal offense.

The city of Baldwyn is warning residents and visitors about “yard rolling” — saying what some may consider harmless fun could actually amount to trespassing, vandalism or littering.

The city says going onto someone else’s property without permission is never a good idea — and neither is causing damage or unwanted harassment.

Officials are reminding the public that, regardless of what the holiday may say, property rights and local laws still apply.

Adding eggs, paint or shaving cream crosses the line into property damage, forcing law enforcement to act.
