No injuries in cotton field fire

CALEDONIA, Miss. (WTVA) — Firefighters reported no injuries in a Lowndes County cotton field fire.

CJ Lee captured video of the fire and said it happened along Honnell Mill Road, which is near Caledonia.

Lowndes County Fire Coordinator Jim Robbins said it happened at approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Fortunately, he reported no injuries.

Lee’s video shows the fire consuming a tractor and what appears to be a large trailer used to store cotton.

This comes as farmers are harvesting their cotton crops.
