BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) – A community college is offering a nursing program for those with a busy schedule.

Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) is offering a 12-month nursing program that combines classroom instruction, hands-on lab experience, and clinical training in healthcare settings.

Classes typically meet three nights a week from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., along with Saturday classes from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Spring 2027 Practical Nursing program begins next year, and the application deadline is Dec 1.

“So far we’ve had good success in the program and graduate a lot of practical nurses out in the field,” said Kristen Montgomery, a class representative at NEMCC. “Nurses are in high demand. We encourage anyone to apply if they are interested in the nursing field.”
