Israeli forces carried out new violations of the “ceasefire” in the Gaza Strip on Friday, including sustained gunfire, artillery shelling, and the demolition of buildings and civilian structures in several areas, injuring several Palestinians.
Although the “ceasefire” has remained formally in effect since October 11, 2025, multiple districts across the Gaza Strip came under Israeli fire, illumination rounds, and armored vehicle movements.
Field reports documented shelling, gunfire, and the destruction of homes and facilities in different parts of the coastal enclave.
In the central Gaza Strip, the Civil Defense reported that several displaced Palestinians were injured early Friday when Israeli forces shelled a tent in the al‑Sawarha area of al‑Zawayda. An Israeli drone also fired two missiles at the area, while Israeli armored vehicles opened heavy fire north and northeast of the al‑Bureij refugee camp.
In Gaza City, Israeli forces opened heavy fire northwest of the city, while Israeli helicopters fired east of the city.

In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery shelled areas south of Khan Younis, while armored vehicles opened heavy fire in areas south and east of the city. Israeli helicopters also renewed gunfire east of Khan Younis. Israeli forces fired smoke and gas canisters east of al‑Qarara, north of the city.
In a separate development, the Israeli army announced Friday that two Israeli soldiers were killed when an Israeli drone exploded during what it described as an “aerial operational incident” amid fighting in the Gaza Strip, according to Israeli media.

Field reports indicated that Israeli attacks during the preceding 24 hours killed four Palestinians and injured dozens. In its daily statistical report, the Gaza Ministry of Health said hospitals had received five Palestinians killed during the same reporting period, including one who succumbed to earlier wounds, along with 35 injured Palestinians.
Since the ceasefire began on October 11, 2025, the number of Palestinians killed has risen to 1,408, with 4,916 injuries and 834 bodies recovered from destroyed areas.
Israel has now killed at least 73,928 Palestinians and injured more than 175,030, most of them women and children, since October 7, 2023.
The attacks continued as Gaza faced widespread destruction, mass displacement, and a severe humanitarian crisis, leaving civilians exposed to Israeli shelling and gunfire despite the ceasefire.
