Juvenile dies after being struck by car in Shannon

SHANNON, Miss. (WTVA) - A juvenile died after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle in Shannon Saturday night.

According to the Shannon Police Chief, two juveniles were riding their bicycles on Noah Curtis Street and Johnson Avenue when one of them was struck by a vehicle.

The Lee County Coroner’s Office is investigating the incident.

Coroner Carolyn Green identified the juvenile as 15-year-old Kameron Cannon.

Cannon was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:29 p.m.

The Shannon Police Department is also investigating.
