O'Charley's in Tupelo opened on March 24, 1999 in the Barnes Crossing Shopping District.

TUPELO – Employees at O'Charley's Restaurant & Bar were caught off-guard Wednesday when they were told it would be their last day.

Reports began surfacing online early in the day that the 55-year-old casual dining chain was shutting down its remaining company owned locations, which number less than 50. It is unclear if franchise locations could remain open.
