Shipping traffic via Hormuz Strait below 10-day average, data shows
3 September 2026 05:48 BST
Six commodity vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, according to preliminary shipping data from Kpler, indicating a drop down from 11 a day earlier.
It is also well below the 10-day average of around 13.
The vessels included two very large gas carriers, two long range tankers, one Supramax tanker and another Panamax tanker.
The number of vessels transiting the strategic waterway could change as some ships typically switch off transponders during the voyage to be less detectable.
