Woman killed, 2 others injured in Union County rollover crash

UNION COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) - A late-night utility terrain vehicle (UTV) crash in Union County has left one person dead and two others injured, authorities confirmed.

The rollover crash occurred around midnight late Friday night on County Road 162.

Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards confirmed that three people were riding on a side-by-side vehicle when it overturned.

First responders rushed two of the occupants to a local hospital for treatment.

Edwards stated that both of the surviving passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Union County Coroner Pam Boman confirmed the driver, 24-year-old Caitlyn Beaty, died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
