TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) – Celebration Village has kicked off at the Tupelo Furniture Market with a VIP preview event giving visitors a first look at vendors, live entertainment, and a meal.

General admission begins Thursday and runs through Saturday. The event will be open Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tickets cost $10 at the door or $8 on Sanctuary Hospice’s website. All ticket proceeds will go to Sanctuary Hospice.

Fundraiser supports hospice house

Sanctuary Hospice, a nonprofit, has hosted the event at the Tupelo Furniture Market for 24 years. It is one of its biggest fundraisers of the year.

The event draws nearly 20,000 people and raises over $300,000 for Sanctuary Hospice. Sanctuary Hospice said the fundraiser allows it to operate the hospice house.

Volunteers and vendors

Cleveland and Hawkins said it takes over 400 volunteers to assemble the event.

More than 100 vendors, most of them local, line Tupelo Furniture Building No. 5.

Many attendees wore buttons for Lauren, who worked at Sanctuary Hospice and died earlier this year.
