Last week at a campaign rally in Youngstown, Ohio, Trump sparked a slew of headlines when he waxed poetic about the pleasing aesthetics of Sen.Jon Husted (R-OH), telling the gathered MAGA faithful that he had recently learned the senator had been a star football player in college. This made Trump want to take a closer look at the former athlete Husted’s body, he explained. “I looked, and I watched up and down,” said Trump. “I looked at his ass, and I looked at the whole – and then I looked at his hands. Look at his hands. He’s got these, like, claws.” It was Trump’s (https://www.mediaite.com/politics/trump/trump-explains-sizing-up-ass-of-republican-senator-im-studying-his-body/) defense of those comments about Husted that sparked the latest mockery from Drudge, delivered when the president was at a campaign rally Tuesday in Greenville, North Carolina to support the flailing Republican Senate nominee,Michael Whatley . Former North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) has maintained strong, double-digit leads over Whatley for months; the (https://www.mediaite.com/politics/fox-news-power-ranking-calls-nc-senate-lost-cause-for-gop-shifts-3-other-races-toward-democrats/) Fox News Power Rankings have declared the race all but over, moving it from Lean D to Likely D earlier this month. As Trump addressed the audience, he claimed Husted had gotten a big bump in the polls because of his speech, claiming the senator had gone from “losing by a lot” to “leading by two.” (There was a (https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections/election_2026/election_2026_ohio_senate) Rasmussen poll that was taken from Oct. 12 to Oct. 14 that had Husted up 2 points, but that was not conducted just during the timeframe of the rally and the poll appears to be an outlier (https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/senate/special-election/2026/ohio/husted-vs-brown) among other recent polls of the Ohio Senate race.) Trump then brought up how he had (https://www.mediaite.com/politics/trump/trump-explains-sizing-up-ass-of-republican-senator-im-studying-his-body/) checked out Husted : So, he’s over here. I’m over here, and I’m studying his body. I’ve never studied the body of a man before. It’s not my thing. Nothing wrong with it — of course. [laughs] I always precede it by saying, “Nothing wrong,” but it’s never been my thing, to be honest with you. But I looked at his ass, and then I looked at his legs. I said, “His ass, sh*t, it’s like, it’s like a pile of muscle.” Then I looked at his legs, and I said, “Man, his feet are big.” Then I looked at his shoulders, and I tapped him on the shoulder, and it actually hurt my hand. He’s like a piece of steel. I said, “This guy’s a monster!” The Drudge Report gathered several headlines about Trump’s comments from the North Carolina rally to feature in the main center stage of the homepage, as shown in the screenshot below.
