CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) — President Donald Trump is returning to Mississippi.
The Republican National Committee confirmed the news with WTVA on Wednesday afternoon.
The midterm rally is set for Monday at the Crossroads Arena in Corinth.
Doors open at 2:30 p.m. The event begins at 4:30 p.m. Trump will start speaking at 6 p.m.
Guests may RSVP at this link. An RSVP is required to attend the event.
The rally will happen a week before the Nov. 3 general election, in which U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith faces Democrat Scott Colom and Independent Ty Pinkins.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to campaign for Colom in Columbus on Thursday.
Mississippi’s three Republican U.S. congressmen, Trent Kelly, Michael Guest and Mike Ezell — all incumbents — are also on the ballot.
Mississippi District One Rep. Bubba Carpenter said he, Rep. Brad Mattox, and Sen. Rita Parks, of District Four, will attend the rally. He said it is unreal, awesome, and great to have the president in town.
Mattox – who represents District Two – said this is great for northeast Mississippians and is one of the best things to happen to Corinth.
Corinth officials say this is the third time a sitting president will have visited the Crossroads area — William McKinley, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Trump.
