                    "Tommy Robinson told the Daily Mail\u2019s editor he would make the paper\u2019s journalists and their families \u201cfamous\u201d, the harassment trial of the far-right activist has been told.The threat was made in a voicemail message left on the phone of Ted Verity as Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, allegedly waged a campaign of harassment against journalists from the newspaper.One of them was scared to go to their own house and left in fear of a potential \u201cvigilante attack\u201d, the trial was told on Tuesday. Another said they feared Robinson\u2019s followers would \u201cseek revenge\u201d on them after reporting on his activities after the 2024 Southport killings and accusations he influenced subsequent riots.Jurors at Southwark crown court were played a recording of the message Robinson left on Verity\u2019s phone in August 2024, saying: \u201cI\u2019ve already located every fucking one of you. I\u2019ve got pictures of everyone here that can go in my story.\u201d\u201cI\u2019m not threatening you with violence or anything like that. What I\u2019m promising you is I\u2019ll make you famous and your families because that\u2019s what you\u2019ve done to me.\u201dHe asked Verity to get in contact, saying that he was prepared to \u201ccome knocking\u201d. Robinson said: \u201cNow I know you wasn\u2019t in your house yesterday \u2026 I don\u2019t want to do it so please make sure you answer your phone so we can chat.\u201dRobinson, 43, is charged with two counts of harassment causing fear of violence in 2024 to two journalists who were working for the Mail, Andrew Young and Jacob Dirnhuber. Photograph: Amer Ghazzal/ShutterstockThe court heard that Young\u2019s address had been published online by an anonymous X account and unknown men started appearing outside his home and that of another journalist working with him.\u201cMy main concern was that while he may not physically harm me, he had 800,000 followers on X at the time who might have been tempted to seek revenge on me or my home or my family for what I had written,\u201d Young said in a statement read out in court.Robinson, who attended court with a large number of supporters, was said to have become enraged after the Mail published a story about him with the headline \u201cStoking race riots from his sunbed\u201d.In another witness statement read to the court, Young\u2019s daughter said that after Robinson\u2019s X account posted pictures of her mother and sister with their faces cropped out, they felt \u201cvery worried about our safety\u201d.She described watching a video of Robinson saying he had photos of the wives and daughters of \u201cthe journalists involved in the article\u201d. She also told of seeing a \u201clone male\u201d waiting in a vehicle parked outside the family home and seemingly taking pictures of her with his phone.Dirnhuber said it was the Mail\u2019s view that Robinson was working in Cyprus, since posting on X was part of how he made money, and so they felt they could legitimately report on his activity. They did not publish any identifiable images of his children.Dirnhuber and his partner had to leave their home address after Robinson shared images of the journalist online and allegedly messaged him photographs of an unknown woman, the court was told.Dirnhuber said he felt he would be \u201clooking over my shoulder for a long time\u201d, adding: \u201cI have the knowledge that Tommy Robinson knows my address and my last name is very identifiable.\u201dThe alleged harassment may have had an \u201cadverse impact\u201d on his \u201cwillingness\u201d to cover certain stories, he added in his witness statement.Social media messages and direct messages sent to journalists by anonymous accounts and apparent followers of Robinson after statements by him on his X account were also read out in court. They ranged from comments about their appearance to more direct messages such as an email to Dirnhuber which said he would have cause to \u201cregret when you are in hospital\u201d.The trial opened on Monday, with prosecutor Ben Holt saying the case was about Robinson\u2019s reaction to what he perceived to be \u201can unnecessary intrusion into his holiday\u201d. Journalists and their family members had to flee their homes after \u201cbullyboy, intimidatory tactics\u201d were deployed against them, Holt said.The trial continues."
