On Sunday, Syria’s Foreign Ministry condemned escalating Israeli incursions into Quneitra and neighboring Daraa province alongside increased helicopter, reconnaissance and warplane activity over southern Syria. The ministry described the operations as a “flagrant violation” of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning that continued Israeli incursions threatened security and stability while obstructing reconstruction and recovery efforts. Israeli forces have carried out repeated incursions into southern Syria since the fall of Bashar al-Assad in December 2024, when Israel declared the 1974 disengagement agreement void and seized the Syrian buffer zone.
