U.S. Senate candidate Scott Colom’s campaign has not publicly released the venue for former Vice President Kamala Harris’ visit to Columbus on Thursday, citing security reasons.
Harris will campaign with Colom on Thursday, with events in Clarksdale then a rally set to begin at 6 p.m. in Columbus.
Colom told The Dispatch those who RSVP’d to the event will be notified of the location prior to the event. As of now, the event is at capacity, Colom said, but additional RSVPs will be added to a waitlist.
Colom, a Democrat and third-term district attorney for the 16th Circuit Court District, is vying to unseat Republican incumbent U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith.
