TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — A shoplifting call at Target landed a woman behind bars for armed robbery.
Tupelo police identified the woman as Star Tate, 46, of Tupelo.
The incident happened on Friday.
That’s when officers received the shoplifting report and were told the suspect allegedly displayed a weapon.
Police later identified the weapon as a knife and the victim as a store employee. Police shared no other details.
Tate drove away, according to police, but officers pulled her over and arrested her.
A judge denied her a bond, and a Lee County grand jury will hear the case soon.
