TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) – Texas-based Whataburger is coming to Tupelo.

The company is opening its first franchise in north Mississippi next to Target on North Gloster Street.

A Tupelo city official said the fast food chain has already submitted plans to locate in the All-America City.

Whataburger – founded in 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas – has 14 locations in the Magnolia State.

In Mississippi, they can be found at Brandon, Batesville, D’Iberville, Flowood, Gulfport, Hernando, Horn Lake, Jackson, Madison, Ocean Springs, Richland, Ridgeland, Southaven, and Vicksburg.
