                    "Miley Cyrus has heard the criticism regarding her performance choices during her historic two-night stand at the Hollywood Bowl this past weekend, with the pop star taking a few minutes during night two to address what she called \u201cclickbait\u201d comments about her effort for her first major performance in years. \n\n\n\n\nMiley Cyrus addresses online criticism towards her Hollywood Bowl show this past Friday: \u201cIt is hard for me to stand up here and do this show. It does not come as natural as it once did\u2026. But one thing I will not stand is any question about where my heart is when I\u2019m on the\u2026 pic.twitter.com/gGRLwHozQ4\u2014 The Hollywood Reporter (@THR) October 19, 2026\n\n\n\n\n\n\t\u201cI have never heard that I don\u2019t put my heart into something,\u201d Cyrus told the crowd early on in the show on Sunday,  labelling some of the the commentary that had surfaced after night on as \u201cclickbait.\u201d She further said that the Bowl shows were not \u201can experiment of you, this an experience for me.\u201d\n\n\t\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\tCyrus acknowledged to the crowd that playing shows doesn\u2019t come \u201cas natural as it once did,\u201d and that she\u2019d even considered not coming out Sunday but that \u201cnever would I leave you all sitting in these seats, unfulfilled from a show.\u201d\n\n\n\n\n\t\u201cI can take a lot, but one thing I will not stand is any question about where my heart is when I\u2019m on the stage,\u201d Cyrus said. \u201cNot one. I\u2019m fully present\u2026 the only thing that I have is this moment with all of you.\u201d \n\n\n\n\n\tBefore performing again, she told the crowd that reason she wasn\u2019t doing \u201ccartwheels\u201d during the performance was because she had to sing live. \n\n\n\n\n\tCyrus\u2019s concerts represent a rarity for the singer, who hasn\u2019t done a proper concert tour in over a decade. Some of the online critique was focused around her letting the crowd and backing track handle the singing on some of her older hits like \u201cWrecking Ball\u201d and \u201cParty in the U.S.A.\u201d While she didn\u2019t sing all the words Sunday night, she did appear to sing more on those tracks for night two. \n\n\t\n\n\n\n\n\n\tCyrus\u2019s first comments were the most notable and overt during the show, but it wasn\u2019t the only time she would address some of the discourse from night one. From a secondary stage amongst the Bowl\u2019s crowd, she elaborated further on comments she herself had made about how it was \u201coverwhelming\u201d being surrounded by all her fans. \n\n\n\n\n\t\u201cI\u2019m excited to see you, feel you, touch you, but just know, this is deeper than a concert \u2014 someone up here singing and you all receiving the songs,\u201d Cyrus said. \u201cIt\u2019s more than that to me. And that\u2019s what I meant by \u2018it\u2019s overwhelming. It just means so much to me, that\u2019s what I meant.\u201d \n\n\n\n\n\tOverall, night two\u2019s set was nearly identical to night one, with Cyrus once again leaving room in the set for a tribute to her late godmother Dolly Parton before performing Parton\u2019s signature hit \u201cJolene.\u201d \n\n\n\n\n\tBefore the \u201cJolene\u201d performance, Cyrus told a funny and touching story about playing a video of \u201cJolene\u201d to a Parton mannequin Parton had given Cyrus as a Christmas gift, putting a flower down and asking Parton\u2019s spirit to flicker the lights if she was there.\n\n\n\n\n\t\u201cI didn\u2019t say anything out loud but the entire hallway started flickering,\u201d Cyrus said. \u201cMax can vouch, he was there but he didn\u2019t know what I said. So I know she\u2019s here with me tonight, and I\u2019m feeling some of the feelings that I\u2019m most afraid of, but having her here with me is getting me through. And having you here with me is getting me through. So no matter what it takes, this show is for you and for Dolly.\u201d"
