The Shanahan effect looks real

Quarterbacks who started both for Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers and elsewhere gained a pooled 0.17 EPA per dropback in San Francisco.

Quarterbacks shown had at least 50 dropbacks in starts both with San Francisco and elsewhere since 2017. The pooled result is weighted by dropbacks. Purdy has no NFL comparison outside San Francisco.
