                    "Well, I had a chance to get my head sorted and I finally finished the \u201cb\u201d version of the LT6502\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHere you can see it next to the first version, I changed my mind about the case and went for translucent orange, it\u2019s way more vivid in real life. I really do like the translucent material, it\u2019s really different \ud83d\ude42\n\n\n\nThe first big thing that\u2019s different, it\u2019s half the thickness of the old one;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt also has a larger, higher resolution screen. The screen is 1024\u00d7600 and is 10.1\u2033, the previous one was 800\u00d7480 and 9\u2033.It has a similar battery capacity, so should last about the same amount of time.It\u2019s a little faster, 10MHz instead of 8MHz.It has a SID emulator on board and a WiFi Modem.It doesn\u2019t have an expansion slot though. The aim was to make it more \u201csleek\u201d.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe screen also has a better contrast ratio being IPS rather than regular LCD, and the higher resolution really does show.\n\n\n\nHere is a good example of that, and also the extra rows of text you can fit on the screen!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou can find the code/PCB Files/etc all on Codeberg here \u2013 https://codeberg.org/TechPaula/LT6502b\n\n\n\nThere are, of course, somethings I\u2019d change\n\n\n\n\nThe holes and support for the heat inserts need making bigger and stronger, they\u2019re VERY weak.\n\n\n\nCAPSLOCK led under the capslock key\n\n\n\nFind a better WiFi Modem, this is too slow and a bit flakey for real use.\n\n\n\nbetter speaker, it works, but it\u2019s a bit \u201canemic\u201d\n\n\n\nFaster, start with speed in mind (i.e. figure out how to copy ROM to RAM and switch out ROM)\n\n\n\nBetter battery solution, I\u2019m thinking something 18650 and on the back as part of the \u201chinge\u201d\n\n\n\nUSB PD support that doesn\u2019t need preprogramming of the USB-PD chip to limit it at 5V, would be nice to have a buck/boost convertor to take anything USB-PD can throw at it and make it 5V\n\n\n\nBetter sound chip, the SID is ok, but it\u2019s a bit limited by modern standards.\n\n\n\nI really want to be able to read a FAT16 file system on the CFCard rather than my own custom one."
