The STING Unit was recognized as Drug Unit of the Year and Northern Mississippi Case of the Year for a second consecutive year during MNOA’s annual conference in Biloxi, where agents and officers from across the state gather to share knowledge and strengthen professional partnerships. A press release issued Wednesday by the sheriff’s office said receiving the awards for a second year in a row speaks to the dedication, professionalism and commitment of LCSO agents. “These honors are a reflection of the hard work, dedication and commitment our agents bring to this job every day,” Sheriff Eddie Hawkins said in the press release. “Narcotics investigations require countless hours of work, attention to detail, teamwork and a willingness to go above and beyond to protect our communities. These awards recognize the outstanding work being done by our agents, but the real reward is knowing that their efforts are making a difference in the lives of the people we serve.” (https://www.addtoany.com/add_to/copy_link?linkurl=https%3A%2F%2Fcdispatch.com%2Fnews%2Flcso-sting-unit-earns-back-to-back-statewide-award%2F&linkname=LCSO%20STING%20Unit%20earns%20back-to-back%20statewide%20award) (Copy Link) (https://www.addtoany.com/add_to/email?linkurl=https%3A%2F%2Fcdispatch.com%2Fnews%2Flcso-sting-unit-earns-back-to-back-statewide-award%2F&linkname=LCSO%20STING%20Unit%20earns%20back-to-back%20statewide%20award) (Email) (https://www.addtoany.com/share) You can help your community Quality, in-depth journalism is essential to a healthy community.
