Ilhan Omar (D-MN).\nThe Department of Homeland Security is probing whether Omar or her late father lied or gave misleading information in the 1990s when he sought legal status in the U.S. from Somalia before they became U.S. citizens. On Monday, Homeland Security agents searched Omar\u2019s home in Washington, D.C. as part of the probe. According to a report published in The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, the ultimate aim of the investigation is to justify stripping Omar of her citizenship and deporting her.\nLess than 30 minutes after the report dropped, Greene went on X and slammed the Trump administration and the \u201cdumb mf\u2019ers\u201d who work in it:\nMe and Ilhan Omar are far apart policy wise. Had she been 17 at the time, her citizenship would have been automatically granted along with her father\u2019s. However, if she were 18, she would have had to become naturalized separately. The congresswoman became a U.S. citizen in 2000 after her father brought her to the country in 1995.\nWhen asked about the raid on Monday, President Donald Trump, who has\u00a0baselessly\u00a0claimed\u00a0that Omar married her brother, denied he had anything to do with the investigation.\n\u201cI\u2019ve always found her to be totally crooked, personally,\u201d he said. \u201cBut that has nothing to do with me.
