Emergency services are working at the scene,” he said.  Zelensky (https://www.ft.com/content/4d79b52f-1f0d-4739-82ab-7ecfb4251326?syn-25a6b1a6=1)  told  the Financial Times in an interview published Thursday that Ukraine had paused attacks on Russian refineries for three days to comply with U.S. President Donald Trump’s surprise announcement of an “energy ceasefire.”  Zelensky said Kyiv was resuming the attacks because Moscow continued to hit the Ukrainian power grid and fuel depots over the same period.  “The block [on attacking refineries] is out. We’re done,” Zelensky told FT. The plant previously (https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2026/09/10/rosnefts-ryazan-oil-refinery-shuts-down-after-drone-attack-industry-sources-say-a93678)  suspended  operations following drone attacks in May, July and September.  On Wednesday, 24 hours before the confirmed attack, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak (https://istories.media/news/2026/10/14/novak-obvinil-ukrainu-v-novikh-atakakh-na-npz-no-takikh-atak-segodnya-ne-fiksirovali/)  claimed  Ukrainian forces had hit refineries in the Saratov and Ryazan regions. At the time, Ukrainian officials dismissed Novak’s claims as false. Ukraine’s air force said 580 Russian drones attacked the country overnight, of which 536 were shot down.
