The Yemeni army says more than 200 Houthi fighters were killed or injured during fighting in the southwestern province of Taiz.
In a statement on Facebook, the Taiz Military Axis said that fierce fighting continued throughout Wednesday on the Dhubab front west of Taiz city and the al-Aqrud and al-Shaqab fronts to the south.
The statement said warplanes targeted a convoy of tanks and military vehicles belonging to the Houthis in the Ras al-Najd area of Al-Misrakh district.
Other areas attacked included Houthi positions near Sofitel Hill east of Taiz city.
