This is precisely what helps prevent people from being killed \u2014 when there is an early warning about ballistic missiles,\u201d Zelenskyy said. \u201cRegarding this strike, unfortunately, there was no warning from partners.\u201d\n\n\n\nFollowing another ballistic missile strike in Kyiv on Tuesday evening, he wrote on X: \u201cOnce again, no early warning from our partners.\u201d\n\n\n\nKyiv usually receives a tip-off about impending Russian missiles via the Battlespace Command and Control Center system, which is operated and controlled by the United States\u2019 military and NATO members, among others.\n\n\n\nHowever, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said at the Warsaw Security Forum Tuesday that intelligence sharing through the platform is ongoing.\n\n\n\n\u201cThey [Americans] told Ukrainians no warning happened because of bad weather conditions, which is seen as not an adequate reason in Kyiv. Thus many are getting increasingly worried this might not have been the case,\u201d an official familiar with the matter told POLITICO on condition of anonymity.\n\n\n\nThe missile warning system has malfunctioned before. \u201cAt times this information doesn\u2019t get through. This isn\u2019t the first instance \u2026 If there were specific technical issues this time, I think the specialists will sort it out. And they will resolve this problem together with our partners,\u201d Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ignat said Tuesday.\n\n\n\nThe U.S. reportedly threatened to cut intelligence sharing once again last week if Kyiv does not stop stricking Russian oil refineries. Zelenskyy did not publicly confirm the threat, but has backed down.\n\n\n\n\u201cUkraine has not carried out strikes on Russian oil refineries or the energy sector in general for the two days since the American President announced an energy ceasefire. But Russia did not heed the American President,\u201d Zelenskyy said, appealing to the U.S. to lead peace negotiations.\n\n\n\n\u201cThe Russians have attacked both our energy facilities and our critical infrastructure, sending absolutely clear signals that they have no intention of refraining from strikes on Ukraine. Nineteen regions of our country have come under attack in these two days alone,\u201d he added.\n\n\n\nU.S. President Donald Trump claimed Monday that both Russia and Ukraine had agreed to an energy ceasefire because he said so \u2014 \u201cand if it was violated, they both violated it.\u201d\n\n\n\n\u201cActually [Russian President Vladimir Putin] wants to make a deal, and we have to get Zelenskyy to want to make a deal,\u201d Trump said.\n\n\n\nDuring a press briefing on Tuesday, Katie Zacharia, the president\u2019s new press secretary, demurred when asked if the U.S. has stopped sharing intel with Ukraine.\n\n\n\n\u201cI\u2019ll have to get back to you on that,\u201d she said.\n\n\n\nSpeaking to reporters at the White House later on Tuesday, President Donald Trump said the U.S. has not stopped sharing intel with Ukraine.\n\n\n\n\u201cBut we are really helping them get to a final answer,\u201d Trump said. \u201cWe are helping them, and we are sharing intel. We want the war to end.\u201d\n\n\n\nHe reiterated that he is helping to broker a deal between Putin and Zelenskyy. \u201cThere is a lot of hatred there between the two of them. They both want it to end, they don\u2019t know how to get there. We\u2019re gonna get them there,\u201d he said.\n\n\n\nRussia has not yet commented on the ballistic strikes, but issued a general statement saying it had struck military and weapons production facilities across Ukraine.\n\n\n\nHowever, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday that Zelenskyy did not deserve a pause in fighting in response to the energy ceasefire: \u201cI don\u2019t think that he deserves a break.
