COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) — 4-County Electric had crews out responding to the remnants of Hurricane Isaias as it moved through the area this weekend.
We saw a few downed trees and power lines, especially in Lowndes County and Alabama.
4-County CEO Brian Clark said the company was preparing to send crews to Alabama and Florida, but conditions made it necessary to keep the linemen in north Mississippi.
“Earlier in the day when the hurricane came through, we started to send crews to south Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, but we held everybody back,” Clark said. “Good thing we did. We were impacted heavily by a lot of strong wind.”
Everyone in Lowndes County has had their power restored. There were almost 4,000 power outages there earlier today.
