Natural gas production was also reduced by 57.4%.\n\n\n\nPersonnel have been evacuated from 121 production platforms, representing nearly one-third of the Gulf\u2019s 371 manned facilities. Five drilling rigs have also been evacuated, while four dynamically positioned rigs have moved off location.\n\n\n\nMajor offshore producers, including Shell, Chevron and BP, have curtailed operations and evacuated workers from facilities in the storm\u2019s path.\n\n\n\nThe production losses are adding to pressure on global oil markets already dealing with disrupted shipments through the Strait of Hormuz and escalating tensions in the Middle East.\n\n\n\nMeanwhile, the NHC is warning of potentially devastating coastal impacts as Isaias approaches landfall.\n\n\n\nA hurricane warning remains in effect from Ocean Springs, Mississippi, to the Bay/Gulf County line in Florida, while a storm surge warning extends from the mouth of the Mississippi River to the Suwannee River in Florida.\n\n\n\nThe greatest storm surge threat is along the Alabama-Florida border eastward to Grayton Beach, Florida, where water levels could reach 6 to 9 feet above normally dry ground. Other portions of the northern Gulf Coast face potential storm surge of 3 to 7 feet.\n\n\n\nHurricane-force winds extend outward up to 30 miles from the center, while tropical-storm-force winds reach as far as 185 miles, creating hazardous conditions across a broad area of the northern Gulf.\n\n\n\nForecasters are also warning of 4 to 8 inches of rainfall across southern Alabama, the Florida Panhandle, Florida\u2019s Big Bend region and southwest Georgia, with localized amounts reaching 15 inches.
