(WTVA) — A noontime crash in north Tupelo killed one person and sent another to the hospital. The crash happened shortly before noon in front of Fire Station 4 on North Gloster Street, down the road from Best Buy. Fire Chief Brad Robinson said a vehicle struck a traffic pole that sits in front of the fire station. He said firefighters extracted two people from the vehicle. Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green said one victim died at the hospital shortly after noon. She did not release the victim’s name. Robinson described the other victim’s condition as critical. Green said the Tupelo Police Department is investigating. Copyright 2026 WTVA. All rights reserved.
