There was no picture of him after he was taken down from the suspension.\u2019\nDr Freeman believes the guard\u2019s description of the position where he found Epstein was \u2018credible\u2019, so he said his focus was: \u2018Could all of the [Epstein\u2019s] injuries have been caused by the hanging scenario in which he was found?\u2019\nHe has concluded there are \u2018some very notable inconsistencies and areas where there is not adequate explanation of what the medical examiner found.\u2019\nThe expert said Epstein had a number of injuries aside from the ligature marks, including on his left shoulder and behind his neck.\nHe added: \u2018He had injuries that could not possibly have been caused by a ligature, and he had facial injuries that were clearly not caused by resuscitation efforts.\n\n\u2018He had been dead for hours by the time they tried to resuscitate him.\u2019\nDr Freeman, who worked with a team of researchers, said there was evidence that aligned \u2018potentially with a struggle, an assault.\u2019\nHe claimed: \u2018One of the things that I will point out during my lecture will be the presence of what appear to be fingernail marks above the ligature mark. \n\u2018That would be consistent with his own fingernail marks, trying to get the ligature off.\u2019\nDr Freeman said this information was not even \u2018the good stuff\u2019, which will come out during the talk next month.\n\n\t\t\n\t\tHow Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s cell was left after his death (Picture: Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, City of New York)\nThe pathologist acknowledged that \u2018there\u2019ll be people who are going to disagree\u2019 with him, but he was releasing the autopsy files publicly to let the world judge for themselves.\nHe explained: \u2018Medical examiners don\u2019t want to have their work looked at again.\n\u2018Meanwhile, that leaves everybody without recourse to go back and say, \u201cCan we have a second look at this?\u201d\n\u2018Science is what you can prove, what is replicable, what\u2019s reproducible.
