NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) — Two people died in a Tuesday morning crash in north Mississippi. It happened shortly before 8:59 on Highway 30 in Union County. The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) identified the victims as Shelia Parker, 57, and Ashley Franks, 42, both of New Albany. Their SUV and a large truck collided. They both died at the scene of the crash. Medics transported the truck driver to a local hospital for moderate injuries, according to MHP. Copyright 2026 WTVA. All rights reserved.
