Alisha Allen, 21, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, is charged with promoting prostitution, sex trafficking and grand larceny, and Everette Morgan, 42, of Aberdeen, is charged with solicitation, according to a CPD press release. CPD Sgt. Nicholas Hairston said officers responded to My Home Columbus on Highway 45 in reference to reports of a guest missing a large sum of money. While he didn’t have an exact number, Hairston said there was more than $1,000 missing. While investigating the report, he said officers discovered Allen and Morgan allegedly engaged in prostitution. Officers also discovered a 17-year-old who had allegedly been brought to the hotel by Allen, leading to the sex trafficking charge, he said. Both Allen and Morgan are being held at Lowndes County Adult Detention Center awaiting their initial appearances in court. Hairston said no further arrests are expected in the case, but anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact CPD at (662) 244-3500 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at (800) 530-7151.
