TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — Mississippi’s newest and largest Target store opens Sunday, Oct. 11.

This is Tupelo’s first Target store and the seventh store in Mississippi.

It’s located just off North Gloster Street, across the road from Olive Garden.

The 148,000-square-foot store features a Starbucks Cafe and a CVS Pharmacy.

Target will host a media preview event and celebration on Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event is not open to the public.

It’ll include a “first purchase” and a ceremony featuring city and community leaders.

WTVA will provide all-day coverage on Tuesday leading up to the event, during it and afterward.
