TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA)— People gathered in the All America City Saturday afternoon for the Robins Street Art Stroll.
The event did not take place on Robins Street. Rain threatened the outdoor event, so organizers moved it indoors to the Huntington Bank Arena this year.
Live musicians, art vendors and art lovers all attended the event.
The Butterfly Effect Painting Ministry set up a community tent for children at the event. Miranda Andrews, the leader of the ministry, said she noticed the art stroll did not have a painting activity for kids.
“I knew it was an art stroll, but they didn’t really have a kids activity, other than like- well, not painting anyway, and so I just set up, and I wasn’t necessarily a vendor, so I wasn’t paying to do anything, but then they were like, ‘well, you can do the community tent.’ And I was like, ‘okay, well that works out!’ So this is like the kids’ community tent, so people can come in and paint, and just have a good time,” Andrews said.
