Jared Kushner and the Trump sons' crypto empire sit atop the hit list for Democrats plotting to probe President Trump's family if they seize either chamber of Congress this November.

Senator Ruben Gallego, an Arizona Democrat who is a potential 2028 presidential hopeful, told the Daily Mail that Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is at the top of his list of people to investigate.

'The President's son-in-law is negotiating with Saudi Arabia. He's negotiating on behalf of us, and also having clients in Saudi Arabia,' Gallego told the Daily Mail.

Kushner's private equity firm, Affinity Partners, secured a $2 billion investment from the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) in 2021, per CNN.

All the while, he added, 'they've driven up the cost of living for everybody... you can't buy a home' and 'gas prices are going to the roof,' in reference to the Trump administration.

Democrats have spent years trying to investigate Kushner's Gulf money, but he has stonewalled every request. In April, Raskin, now top Democrat on House Judiciary, said he could not 'both be a diplomat and a financial pawn of the Saudi monarchy at the same time.

Kushner was not subpoenaed by Democrats in the following Congress regarding his business dealings, but did voluntarily discuss the January 6th Capitol Attack during an appearance before lawmakers.

Republicans on the House Foreign Affairs Committee also blocked a measure earlier this year to bring Kushner, as well as fellow Trump Envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in over the Iran War.

Connecticut's Richard Blumenthal, the top Democrat on the Senate's Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, has World Liberty Financial in his sights.

Jared Kushner, the United States Special Envoy for Peace, and President Donald Trump's son-in-law, could be the subject of congressional investigations if Democrats take control of either chamber on Capitol Hill after November

President Donald Trump was welcomed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Riyadh in 2025, which the president visited during the first foreign trip of his second term

Donald Trump Jr., one of President Donald Trump's children could see his business dealings scrutinized next year if Democrats hold subpoena powers in either the House or the Senate

The crypto firm was founded by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr alongside Zach and Alex Witkoff, sons of Special Envoy Witkoff.

Blumenthal, who called himself the subcommittee's 'hopeful chairman', also wants to examine 'the financial ties between the administration and Tether', the world's largest stablecoin issuer.

Cantor-Fitzgerald, the financial services and investment firm formerly led by Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, has ties to Tether, which has been characterized as a 'dream currency' for money launderers.

Although Lutnick has divested his stake in his former company, his children still benefit from a trust that has received a loan from Tether, per a letter from Democrats on the Senate Banking Committee sent earlier this year.

Blumenthal claims Tether's dollar-pegged token is 'enabling Iran to evade sanctions during the war' and has aided 'money laundering and gun trafficking'.

A spokesperson for Tether told the Daily Mail it welcomes oversight from lawmakers.

'Our approach doesn't change with the makeup of Congress,' said David Pourshoushtari, the company's publicist. 'We work with over 340 law enforcement agencies in 70 countries, have supported more than 2,900 investigations globally, including over 1,600 involving U.S. law enforcement, and have helped freeze more than $5 billion in illicit assets.'

Winning either chamber would hand Democrats subpoena power, potentially triggering lengthy legal battles with Trump donors and business partners, Reuters reported.

Arizona Democrat Ruben Gallego, a potential 2028 presidential contender, says Kushner is at the top of his list as to who should be investigated if Democrats are in control next year

Connecticut Democrat Richard Blumenthal, who could lead an investigatory committee in the Senate next year, noted Wednesday that Tether and World Liberty Financial are fiscal firms he wants to examine if given the chance

Republicans insist Democrats won't get the chance. NRSC chairman Tim Scott, who runs the GOP's Senate campaign arm, told reporters he expects his party to hold its majority and possibly expand it.

Missouri Republican Josh Hawley told the Daily Mail on Tuesday he was surprised Democrats hadn't 'already practically sent out schedules, hearing schedules'.

'They probably have lined up their witnesses... they are just salivating to do that, which voters I think have zero interest in,' he said.

The Daily Mail reached out to World Liberty Financial, Donald Trump Jr, and a representative for Jared Kushner for comment.

But Kushner posted a cryptic comment to X on Friday saying while he's ignored 'false and misleading stories' about his work he will choose to respond 'from time to time.'
