TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) – Pumpkin season is here, and the Tupelo Buffalo Park and Zoo is helping families get into the fall spirit.
The park’s annual pumpkin patch is open throughout October, offering visitors a chance to pick out the perfect pumpkin and enjoy plenty of other fall fun.
Schools, daycares, churches, and other large groups can also make reservations to get a chance to meet some of its animals.
The pumpkin patch is just one of the activities available for families this month.
Dan Franklin, the co-owner of the park, said the season is a time for families to make memories.
“You see them sitting at a restaurant eating, everybody on their cell phone doing things. They are not talking to each other, spending family time together,” Franklin said. “When you see people down here, if they got a phone out, they are taking pictures of each other and doing things families are supposed to do. And I love seeing that kind of stuff.”
