I think they\u2019re pushing those ideas.\u201d\nThe conservative Heritage Foundation reported that \u201cCCP-linked actors have aggressively amplified anti-data center voices in America, even as Beijing generously subsidizes China\u2019s own\u2026data center construction.\u201d In addition, Heritage warned, \u201cIt\u2019s time for policymakers at all levels of leadership to cultivate awareness and craft policies to counteract Chinese anti-American tech narratives.\u201d\nPresident Donald Trump has repeatedly called the doomsday scenario a \u201choax\u201d meant to stifle U.S. innovation and allow China to take the lead in the AI race.\n\u201cAI, and Data Centers, will be the Greatest Economic Development Engine in History \u00ad\u00ad\u2014 Bigger than Oil, Gold, Diamonds, or even the Internet. It will not be stopped by brilliantly run Destructive Forces during the Term of President DONALD J. TRUMP!\u201d Trump wrote on Truth Social.\nAI Data Centers are controversial because they take up a lot of space and require an abundance of electricity and water to keep the chips from overheating.
