                    "Critics were irate, Sunday, over a new government-funded political ad promoting President Donald Trump aired on Fox News Sunday.\nThe black-and-white 30-second spot showed a grim-faced Trump walking down a hallway as audio from a rally speech played in the background. \n\u201cThis is the final battle,\u201d Trump said in the ad. \u201cWith you at my side, we will demolish the deep state. We will expel the warmongers from our government. We will drive out the globalists. We will cast out the communists, Marxists and fascists. We will throw off the sick political class that hates our country. We will rout the fake news media. And we will liberate America from these villains once and for all.\u201d\nThe ad was almost a carbon copy of one the Trump campaign produced in 2024 \u2014 with one notable exception. This version contained the disclosure, in the closing seconds, that the ad was \u201cpaid for by the U.S. government.\u201d\nThis is the second such government-funded pro-Trump political ad in recent days. The first flashed images of Trump over the song \u201cLove Me\u201d by singer JMSN \u2014 who said in a statement that he did not give permission for his song to be used, and said he was consulting with lawyers. \nIn defending that ad, a White House spokesperson told CBS News, \u201cThese public service announcements are about reminding Americans to love their country and understand what makes it worth defending, at home, at our borders, and abroad. The ad is educational and unapologetically patriotic. We should be proud of our country.\u201d\nBut critics are up in arms about the new 30-second spots:\n\n\nWhat\u2019s crazy is it\u2019s not that hard to for a White House to steer donors to an outside group who can run fluffer ads like this.
