A burn ban means no outdoor burning of any kind, including campfires, bonfires and field burning. Violators face a misdemeanor and a fine. Grilling with propane, gas and charcoal is still allowed.
The MFC’s website only lists county-issued burn bans. Municipalities within those counties can issue their own independent bans.
With the number of burn bans in effect, it’s probably best to avoid burning in general, regardless of county-or city-issued burn bans.
