STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) – An arrest has been made in an investigation into a series of auto burglaries.

Starkville Police said 20-year-old Anthony Buchanan, of Starkville, is being charged with 23 counts of auto burglary and one count of felony taking of a motor vehicle.

The department said he was charged Tuesday over the burglaries that were reported on Sept. 15 off Louisville Street.

Starkville Police said in November 2023, Buchanan was charged with multiple counts of auto burglary following a series of 25 reported auto burglaries and two stolen vehicles.

In July 2024, the department said Buchanan was charged with five counts of auto burglary, one count of grand larceny auto, and one count of possession of a stolen firearm.

He was on parole for auto burglary at the time of this arrest, Starkville Police said.
