The air temperature was 95F (35C) with a heat index of 105F (40.5C). However, inside the bowl of the stadium the surface of the artificial turf was much hotter.Eagles offensive lineman Jordan Mailata said the temperatures were another reason for the players\u2019 union to push for a ban on artificial turf.\u201cI\u2019ve never thought about how hot a stadium can be if it\u2019s turf. [The heat] just sits there and bounces up into you,\u201d Mailata said. \u201c[The union] have got to bring it up.
