KOSSUTH, Miss. (WTVA) – Character education took center stage Friday morning.

Kossuth Elementary hosted a school-wide tailgate Friday morning, bringing the school’s Capturing Kids’ Hearts initiative and Character Counts values to life through games, snacks, and hands-on activities.

Each classroom was assigned a Character Counts word connected to the school’s Capturing Kids’ Hearts program.

Students then rotated through decorated tailgating tents. Each tent focused on a different character trait.

All the activities were designed to demonstrate what those values look like in everyday life.

Older Aggies High School students joined the fun for a game of “Are You Better Than an Aggie?” flag football, giving younger students a chance to interact with and look up to high school athletes.
