                    "An Iranian maritime organisation has placed 77 vessels on a non-compliance list for violating Tehran\u2019s protocols for passage through the Strait of Hormuz, according to a list published by the organization, Anadolu agency reported.\nThe Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA) said vessels violating Iranian protocols for the strategic waterway would face restrictions on future passages, including possible fines, detention or confiscation.\nThe organisation also warned insurance companies, protection and indemnity (P&I) clubs and classification societies against providing services to vessels on the list, citing possible consequences for dealing with them.\nIt urged cargo owners shipping to or from the Gulf to check the Non-Compliance List before chartering vessels to avoid potential problems.\nThe PGSA said any vessel working with a listed ship, including through ship-to-ship (STS) transfers or transshipment operations, would also be added to the list.\nREAD:\u00a0Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guards reject Trump\u2019s claim of US control over Strait of Hormuz\nVessels seeking removal from the list must submit a formal application providing justification, it added.\nThe organisation did not specify in the notice the individual violations attributed to any of the 77 vessels.\nThe PGSA is an entity established by Iran to regulate vessel transit through the Strait of Hormuz. Under Tehran\u2019s transit mechanism, vessels are required to coordinate with the authority and obtain authorisation before passing through the strategic waterway.\nThe Strait of Hormuz, located between Iran and Oman, connects the Gulf with the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea and is one of the world\u2019s most important maritime routes for oil and liquefied natural gas shipments.\nThe waterway has been at the center of heightened regional tensions, with Tehran imposing restrictions on maritime traffic amid its conflict with the US.\nThe US Treasury Department sanctioned the PGSA in May, accusing it of links to Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and of forcing commercial vessels to pay tolls for passage through the strait.\nREAD:\u00a0Iran issues passive defense plan for 3 scenarios, including full-scale war"
