TCN made this disclosure in a notice on Wednesday. According to TCN, the outage was caused by the tripping of a 100MVA power transformer at the Apo 132kV/33kV Substation in Abuja.  TCN further explained that oil spillage on the red-phase HV bushing of the transformer led to the tripping, affecting four 33kV feeders, including feeders H31, H33, H35 and H37. Consequently, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company confirmed a power outage in areas of Abuja, including Apo Legislative Quarters, Lokogoma, Apo Resettlement and other parts of the nation’s capital.
