TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — Burn bans are in effect for several counties in north Mississippi.

Lee County enacted its ban on Tuesday.

Other north Mississippi counties include Lafayette, Benton, Marshall and Grenada.

A burn ban means no outdoor burning of any kind, including campfires, bonfires, fire pits and debris burning.

Charcoal grills are still allowed, as well as propane and gas grills and propane and gas heaters.
