The IDF is investigating the incident. Military officials told N12 that the Syrian civilian was transferred for questioning by security forces. According to the officials, an initial investigation indicated that the incident was not an attempted terrorist attack. In a separate incident overnight, IDF troops detained two Syrian civilians in the Mount Hermon sector who are suspected of involvement in attempted smuggling operations along the border. The two suspects were also transferred for questioning by security officials. This is a developing story.
