It says nothing about the Palestinian people\u2019s right to return to their homes and their land, it does not mention the right of Palestinians to defend themselves.\nThese are not privileges to be granted or withheld; they are fundamental rights recognized by international law.\nThe question of disarmament must also be confronted honestly. Israel, not the Palestinian people, possesses a vastly superior military and continues to kill Palestinians indiscriminately. Israel continues to occupy Palestinian land and expand Jewish only settlements, while Israeli officials continue to speak openly about killing and annexing Gaza.\nPalestinians must have guarantees that their people, communities, and land from will be protected.\nThe plan is overwhelmingly focused on Gaza while offering no substantive framework for addressing Palestinian rights in general. Its references to a future political path toward Palestinian self-determination and statehood are vague and unenforceable. There is no concrete framework for ending the apartheid regime and resolving the broader question of Palestinian self-determination.\nThis Gaza-only approach is not incidental. By isolating Gaza from the broader Palestinian struggle, the plan fragments the Palestinian people and entrenches the system of apartheid across historic Palestine.\nEven setting aside its glaring failures on justice and accountability, Israel\u2019s conduct has already demonstrated the weakness of relying on its stated commitments.\nSince October 2025, Israel has repeatedly violated the Gaza ceasefire agreement. With airstrikes, shelling, and shootings Israel killed more than 1,200 Palestinians, most of them children, women, and elderly people, and wounding more than 4,000 others.\nThe humanitarian reality remains devastating. Most of Gaza\u2019s population remains displaced, with many families living in overcrowded tents or makeshift shelters amid repeated displacement. Access to clean water and sanitation remains is practically nonexistent.\nGaza\u2019s health system remains in ruins, with critical shortages of medicines and medical supplies. Even medical evacuation is practically impossible.\nGaza\u2019s population remains increasingly dependent on aid \u2013 which is restricted by Israel \u2013 while denied the ability to safely rebuild.\nThis is not simply a humanitarian crisis requiring more aid; it is a crisis sustained by lack of political courage on the part of the United States and Europe.\nThere can be no roadmap to peace when justice, accountability, apartheid, Palestinian rights, and Palestinian voices are excluded from the conversation.\nPeace requires justice, accountability, and an unconditional end to the apartheid regime. It requires that the Palestinian people have a meaningful voice in determining their future.\nLacking these principles, Trump\u2019s 15-point plan is merely a blueprint for managing, and ultimately preserving, the very conditions that make peace impossible.\nSo why does Netanyahu reject it?
